Legal Issues In California (and elsewhere)
Current voting systems are not safe from fraud or manipulation.
The DREs use a paper audit trail that are not suitable for the purpose for which it is intended, as documented by the California SoS.
The DREs do not allow the blind to verify their vote.
Some of the current systems use dangerous interpreted code. This is in violation of sections 4.4.1 and 6.4.1 of the Voluntary Voting Systems Guidelines
